Troy began his advising career after graduating from Taylor university in 2003.  After years at a large broker dealer, he made the decision to take his business to the independent model of LPL Financial, where he now primarily focuses on clients with retirement and estate planning needs.

As a founder of FireTree Financial, one of Chicagolands fastest growing financial firms, Troy also spends much of his time managing and growing the business.  FireTree Financial continues to attract the top talent in the region, and much of this is due to the vision and principles the firm was founded on.

Troy holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations, held through LPL Financial, as well as his state life and health insurance license. In 2005, he earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation from the College of Financial Planning.

Troy lives in St. Charles IL with his wife Cheryl and their two daughters, Lyla and Alyx.  In his spare time, Troy loves spending time with his family, watching the White Sox, playing golf, and looking for real estate opportunities.
