J. Todd VanDerVoorn

Financial Advisor

As a wealth management advisor, Todd has focused over the past 14 years on giving personal attention to each of his clients. Even though financial matters are the focus of his planning, he is also focused on understanding the professional and personal desires of those he serves. His client base ranges from business owners to missionaries, but his focus is to be known as one of the premier wealth managers for those who own medical practices.

Todd began his financial career in 1998 with First Chicago bank (now Chase) where he was a branch manager and investment advisor. After 5 years he took his passion for financial matters to Northwestern Mutual. For 8 years Todd expanded his knowledge and experience into the insurance arena. While at Northwestern, Todd served as the Investment Specialist, a Wealth Management Advisor and for a year spent time in management. In 2011, Todd brought his practice to FireTree Financial with the expectation to continue to increase his value to those he serves.

He currently resides in Sugar Grove with his wife, Becky, and their three children, Noah (7), Tori (6), Alexis (4), and boxer, Penny. As a family they enjoy spending their time serving at Village Bible Church and the surrounding community, as well as working with youth volleyball and basketball leagues and any opportunities for travel.

Todd holds his Series 6, 63, 65, and 7. He has also received the “5-Star Wealth Management Award” from Chicago magazine in 2010-2011, been a member of MDRT in 2007-2009, and received the National Quality Award 2007-2010.

Becky VanDerVoorn

After 7 1/2 years of teaching math, I have spent 7 years in the financial industry as an assistant where I’ve focused on compliance, marketing, service & establishing new accounts.

My desire is to ensure that ALL of our clients have an enjoyable & efficient experience using our team for their financial strategies.

When I’m not working on items for clients, I spend my time raising our 3 children, my biggest investment. I enjoy a flexible “work” schedule that allows me to be an active part in our kid’s actives as well as other things like church, community & sports events.
